Hayes is best known for his debut album, Boom, which features the hit song “You Broke Up with Me.”

But like we said, the celebration will be happening all day as Beaver Creek's renowned Independence Day celebration starts at 12 p.m. with complimentary kids’ activities, lots of food choices and plenty of opportunities for mountain adventure.

If you’re looking for activities for the young ones prior to 12:00pm on the 4th, the Summer Adventure Center is open from 9:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., and their paid activities include: Gem Panning, Ropes Course, Bungee Trampolines, Climbing Wall, and Mini Golf. These activities will require an additional waiver signed by a parent/guardian. The Beaver Creek Ice Rink will be open during normal operating hours, 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. That's right, we said ice rink. In the middle of summer.

A kids play area called Stars, Stripes & Slides will be located on the back lawn in front of the Beaver Creek Chophouse and will be open from 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will be bouncy castles, obstacle courses, giant slides and many more; there will be inflatables for the tots too! These are free to the public, but please make sure Mom or Dad accompany the kids – waivers are required.

The Independence Day Celebration doesn’t end there –another’ Kids’ Zone will be open from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. just off the main plaza, at the top of the main water fountain in front of Ford Hall.  The’ Kids’ Zone will include carnival games, face painting, arts and crafts, and more. All activities in this zone are free.

Erika Wennerstrom will commence the day’s live musical performances at 4 p.m. in Centennial Park. Wennerstrom, taking a break from her Austin-based rock band, The Heartless Bastards, delivers her solo debut Sweet Unknown.

Music continues at 6 p.m. with Delta Rae. Headlining over 100 shows each year and a regular on the festival circuit since forming in 2009, Delta Rae’s larger-than-life performances have earned coveted spots at Bonnaroo, Tortuga Music Festival, Austin City Limits, Firefly, Bumbershoot, Summerfest, Hangout Fest, Kaaboo, Basilica, VOODOO, and Lollapalooza.

Following Hayes' 8:15 p.m.m, performance, an evening fireworks display is scheduled to light up the Rocky Mountains, if weather and conditions permit.

During summer festivals at Beaver Creek, leashed dogs are permitted in designated dog-friendly areas, outside of festival boundaries. Dog-friendly areas include Creekside Park, on-mountain hiking trails, and Beaver Creek access road pathway.

An upgraded VIP Experience is available for the Independence Day Celebration at Beaver Creek. The VIP Experience includes access to the White Carpet Club, a private retreat in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, from 12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. White Carpet Club access includes a lounge area, private locker space, and private restrooms.
